Google sketch

Posted in Uncategorized on April 27, 2009 by craze001

Google sketch can be used to design houses that are safe and livable, when the houses you live in are sdesigned by google sketch you will be able to tell if the building will survive a destructive earthquake.

Google sketch could also be used to desgin new video game consoles, believe it or not, but if people tried to make them on google sketch, i bet the new gen systems that would be created would be much different and more creAtive .

xp1Microsoft XP-

This operating system Microsoft XP was the successor of windows 2000, The XP stands for Experiance. XP is mostly targeted towards home users, Thus the name Home edition. Microsoft XP was the most used OS out there at the current moment. IT is also highly redone compared to the other microsoft predeseccsors. most common editions of the operating system are Windows XP Home Edition, which is targeted at home users, and Windows XP Professional, which offers additional features such as support for Windows Server domains and two physical processors, and is targeted at power users, business and enterprise clients. Windows XP Media Center Edition has additional multimedia features enhancing the ability to record and watch TV shows, view DVD movies, and listen to music. Windows XP Tablet PC Edition is designed to run stylus applications built using the Tablet PC platform. Windows XP was eventually released for two additional architectures, Windows X64-bit Edition for IA-64 (Itanium) processors and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition for x86-64 There is also Windows XP Embedded, a componentized version of the Windows XP Professional, and editions for specific markets such as Windows XP Starter Edition.

VISTAvista1

Windows Vista was known by its codename “Longhorn.” Development was completed on November 8, 2006; over the following three months it was released in stages to computer hardware and software manufacturers, business customers, and retail channels. On January 30, 2007, it was released worldwide, nd was made available for purchase and download from Microsoft’s website.Windows Vista contains many changes and new features, including an updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network, using peer-to-peer technology to simplify sharing files and digita media between computers and devices. Windows Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework, which aims to make it significantly easier for software developers to write applications than with the traditional Windows API.

UBUNTUunbuntyu1

Ubuntu is composed of free and open source software distributed under various licenses, especially the GNU General Public License so that users are free to run, copy, distribute, study, change and improve the software. Ubuntu is sponsored by the UK based company Canonical Ltd, owned by South African entrepreneur Mark Shuttleworth. Instead of selling Ubuntu for profit, Canonical creates revenue by selling technical support. By keeping Ubuntu Free software and open source, Canonical is able to take advantage of the talents of outside developers in Ubuntu’s constituent components without developing the entire operating system itself.

BeOSbeos1

was an operating system for personal computers which began development by Be Inc. in 1991. It was first written to run on BeBox hardware. BeOS was optimized for digital media work and was written to take advantage of modern hardware facilities such as symmetric multiprocessing by utilizing modular I/O bandwidth, pervasive multithreading, preemptive multitasking and a custom 64-bit journaling file system known as BFS. The BeOS GUI was developed on the principles of clarity and a clean, uncluttered design. The API was written in C++ for ease of programming. It has POSIX compatibility and access to a command line interface through Bash, although internally it is not a Unix-derived operating system.

Mac OS Xmac1

Mac OS X is a line of computer operating systems developed, marketed, and sold by Apple Inc., and since 2002 has been included with all new Macintosh computer systems. It is the successor to Mac OS 9, the final release of the “classic” Mac OS, which had been Apple’s primary operating system since 1984. Mac OS X, whose “X” represents the Roman numeral for “10″ and is a prominent part of its brand identity, is a Unix-based operating system, ilt on technologies developed at NeXT between the second half of the 1980s and Apple’s purchase of the company in early 1996. Its sixth and most recent version, Mac OS X v10.5 is certified UNIX 03 while running on Intel processors.

The first version released was Mac OS X Server 1.0 in 1999, and a desktop-oriented version, Mac OS X version 10.0 followed in March 2001. Releases of Mac OS X are named after big cats; for example, Mac OS X v10.5 is usually referred to by Apple and users as “Leopard“. The server edition, Mac OS X Server, is architecturally identical to its desktop counterpart, and includes tools to facilitate management of workgroups of Mac OS X machines, and to provide access to network services. These tools include a mail transfer agent, a Samba server, an LDAP server, a domain name server, and others. It is pre-loaded on Apple’s Xserve server hardware, but can be run on most of Apple’s computer models.

Google latitude

Google latitude,

Created as a way to ifnd people? or means of finding them… either way, this type of device should never have been created and should be annilhated, but because of the growth an greatness of googles worth it shall not fall but live on.  How do you ask this thing works? The google latitude is the thing people who spend countless hours on google earth have been waiting for. A device to stalk, find, an search out other people, jus by adding a simple device onto your phone. Now you may think,”it needs to be on my phone, if i dont add it then i wont need to worry” but you are completley wrong. others out there are looking out and finding ‘loopholes’ around those thoughts. They take a a cheap phone, add that application google has jus mindlessly added, an find a place to put it where it will always be with you. Example  your car, or bag, anythign thats close to you at all times.

Now how does facebook tie into all this?  people love telling where an what they are upto for some strange reason, strange as it,  they do. Now these people use this device called “cellular phones” access the interent, update what their doing, so others can look them up. Let them be friend, ur mortal enemy, or even a stranger whose never met you in your life. You could be being stalked at this very moment your reading this, people know where you are and what you are doing thanks to google an facebook… two highly trusted sites, but even so they ae highly trusted, are they at all secure from the bad peoples of society? or even worse?

Putting an image of yourself on the interenet may not seem so wrong, i mean there are duplicates of people out there who look like you talk like you and ectera, but even so, that chance is so slim, the chance of a cement truck driving into ur neighbors house on a wednesday of a sunny july, has a higher chance in happening. Trying to find employees over the internet, sure go for it. I mean that 16 year old boy u see on this “FACEBOOK” profile of his, is completely legit. you’ll get a meeting with him, first head to head meeting, an to your surprise its a 83 year old mad man. So i really believe in hiring over the interent espicially if your going through their face book profile which is obviously ALWAYS legit, i mean, no one lies on the internet, Take Wikipedia, All there things are legit…Right?

1-     I find that apple is right in what they are going against, but I do think that they should have better things to do than that! I mean they may have the best computer but windows is still in the lead cause its cheaper! Apple should be ashamed because they’re worrying about things that do not concern them what so ever!

2-     Google, the worlds best search engine, now that they have a fighter jet, google shall BE the only search engine in the world. The google fighter jet is moffet field in a hanger. For all those attempting to make a search engine and deciding on something similar, Join up with google and backstab them in the back after you take their technology.

3-     Hackers are people too, without hackers we would not be able to know where and when the weak parts of the system are, but at the same time then we wouldn’t need security. If the world didn’t have hackers, we wouldn’t need security and if we didn’t have security we would be a utopia, and if we had a utopia, the world would end.

I say Essay

Posted in ICT of AWESOMNESS on October 3, 2008 by craze001

In the world of science and technology only one thing pushed everything forward for a better existence in life and a better world, I’m talking about the ENIAC. The ENIAC was said to be a mythical being which held different powers the computers today had. The ENIAC was a computer which was said to be the size of a school’s gym, and needed ventilation which would keep the grand machine safe from all harm and peril. Computers now-a-days only need one person to run them effectively. The ENIAC needed much more people than one because of its grand size. The ENIAC had 17,468 vacuum tubes, 7200 crystal diodes, 1500 relays, 70,000 resistors and around 5 million hand-soldered joints and weighed 30 short tons. Even though the ENIACS awesome size and Extreme weight, it could do less than home computers we have today. The advent transistor made it possible to make more advanced and compact computers so they wouldn’t be as bulky. The computer programming has changed from the ENIAC to the windows vista greatly, we now have a way to connect with people all over the globe and a way to communicate when out of touch. The computers have their own special language and they use a thing called “BINARY” it is a strange and complex language when first looked at, for example “01001000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 00001101 00001010” Means Hello. In this whole essay, each letter the computer has is 8 bytes, now 8 bytes per letter, how much will whole words be? The word “hello” is 56 bytes, if u add on a sentence to the word hello you would get a much larger byte size, that is how when you save a file, it determines how much it is by “Mbs” not bytes, unless you didn’t write much and it will be in bytes.  Steve Wozniak changed the way computers are today by not using a chip called the “8080” chip which was one of the things that were “top” in the computers back then. He had changed the ways computers work and how the interact with people, His apple 1 was not much of a success but apple 2 was a great accomplishment.  Back in 1950s if you had said the word, “technology” you’d most likely get tripped by a guy named butch and be shoved in a locker for the rest of the term year. Now, when you say the word technology, everyone uses it, even if they are unaware, computers, cell phones, mp3 players and ever more things out there. The way we look at technology has changed a lot from when people lived back then, they saw computers as a governmental tool which could be used for war, now it’s used for information storage, gaming, communicating around the world. I believe if you took someone who was surrounded by technology their entire life and put them on a desert island and the tools; axe, shovel, spear and a bucket, it would still be hard for them because they spent their life with technology.

Some things I believe will influence the future are Gaming consoles, wrist computers, holograms, robots and hydro-cars.  Gaming consoles will one day be more than just a gaming console, they could integrate with computers or even a television, and that wouldn’t be the end of that. Sometime in the future all the competitors would combine their companies together and make a superior gaming console and give each family one free console, but seeing is how the games would be 100$ each, they families would be urged to buy them. Now I’ll say it honestly the wrist computer is not a great invention, I’ve seen it! But even if, most great inventions come from mistakes and strange products, stealing other people’s ideas and making something much grander than the original product. If someone took the wrist computer watch and changed it into a suit where the wires would go through it and the visual part would be connected to the lens of the glasses which came with the suit. Now obviously this is a bad idea using a suit but by then bullet proof vests will be underrated and cheap so that’s what the suits would be made out of. Holograms do exist but they aren’t the type where there’s a human standing and talking through a force field, there’s one which is like a pen which u can scan a piece of paper and wave it around in the air and it shows that thing that u had scanned in a quick blur.

This could one day push us forward towards teleporting through beams of light and traveling far distances. Even the smallest things have had the greatest of impacts in the world. Robots are what some people think as ‘the terminator’ but no, a robot is just a computer, a computer which has certain programs which it is told to follow. There are robots in Japan and they look like animals, One day we might have robotic people working as clerks in convience stores, you input the product and input the amount owed and the robot would do all the work for you without feeling like your being hassled or like the owner doesn’t like you for any odd reason. Hydro-powered cars are something that will change the economy and even the ozone of the earth. Without the need of gas we can save hundreds of dollars, also since the cars wouldn’t need gas, they wouldn’t spew out unnatural gasses which can and will destroy our ozone layer. After the hydro car goes world-wide we can start helping the environment and the ozone will slowly repair itself. Social implications of technology are how things will always advance whether we are conscious about the advancements or not. Take example the Gameboy, it started as a handheld nes console which then became its own product. Technology is advancing before our eyes and there is nothing we can do to stop it, all we can do is help push it forward or sit along and enjoy the ride.

Netgear powerline

Posted in Uncategorized on October 1, 2008 by craze001

The thing I believe would be the best thing to be made would be the wifi communicator. It would help people to play games and commute from other places and would make life easier and things like computers and things that rely on wifi, would move much faster. The product is called a Net gear power line, It costs 149.99$ and uses the electricity wires in the house to use as a transfer source. The net gear is an interesting invention but even so it can be pushed aside for something greater than it.

The netgear is two objects, and they are used in a certain way to make the things work. You plug in one of the two into the outlet and the other to the thing u want Ethernet to go to. The Netgear resolves the problem you have by putting Ethernet cables around the house; it can save money and time! The net gear can get up to speeds such as 200mbs /per second. It Is a built in quality of service and they garentee your happiness on purchase on product.

Computers…. A lifetime

The ENIAC was huge, it would fill up an entire room just to maintain its

awesomeness!

The room had to be air conditioned just for it to work properly. The ENIAC had many switches so many it would put DJ’s to shame! Outputs and inputs over and over the ENIAC was very interesting invention for its time. What the ENIAC did it would calculate and solve on questions that needed to be done. The ENIAC had 1800 tubes each the size of a small light bulb! The size was about 8.5 by 3 and took up 680 ft! the transistor was used to transfer the data between the computer and its mainframe. The transistor of the ENIAC was much bigger than transistors now-a-days but It still does the same job. “The first practical point-contact transistor was built in 1948 by William Bradford Shockley, John Bardeen, and Walter House Brattain. Patents for the concept of a transistor date as far back as 1928 in Germany, though they seem to have never been built, or at least no one ever claimed to have built them.” Andrew Zimmerman Jones.  The integrated circuit is a multi purpose tool used for many  things, it was first made by Geoffrey W.A. Dummer. The integrated circuit used vacuum tubes to hold the wires in place. The Timex Sinclair was a computer styled old fashioned laptop, but it had no screen, it was used for a door stop

the first home computer was quite small and the screen was not in multi colour but in greens. The computer quite diminutive and uninformative

1.Turing Machine- What is it? Explain the concept.
2.Apple Computer – What was their first product? Who built it? How successful was it? Where did it start?
3.Who were the next followers.
4.What was Bill Gates’ first product. What made him money. How did he begin to make money. How did his company influence the computer business.
5.What are all of the Windows operating systems ever created. Write out a simple timeline and some of the features and advances of each.

1.Turing machines are basic abstract symbol-manipulating devices, A Turing machine that is able to simulate any other Turing machine

2 An apple computer is much different than a microsoft, Apples first product was a hand made personal computer, made out of wood. it was made by steve Wozniak, it was very successful and was sold for 666.66$

3 The next followers of the Apple was the mac which was a great successor to it

4. The first thing bill gates made was the programming language binary, the product which made him money was MS basic, he mass provided his products and this product changed the way computers are made today.

Cellphone

Atari

Television

 NES

computer

These 5 important things are very important to me me becuase they all changed the way we live, th cellhone we can communicate even when not at home, the atari changed the gaming experience, the television is just that great. The Nes started the nintendo franchise and pushed the gaming world to the next level. last but not least the best of them all the computer, if we never had them, the world would cease to exist.
